My printer isn't on the SimplyPrint compatibility list

Unfortunately, not all manufacturers make their printer so they can talk to 3rd party software like SimplyPrint. Therefore, it is unfortunately possible that your printer is not compatible with our software. However, if your printer is missing on the compatibility list, it doesn't necessarily mean that your printer is not going to be compatible. It just means that no one else tried to add this printer to the platform. You can do the following to find out if your printer is compatible from a technical standpoint:

Search for compatibility


You can Google "Does X printer work with OctoPrint?" You will usually be able to find a forum or similar where you can find an answer. If the answer is no, then there is not much that can be done to make it work other than changing out the mainboard.

However, if your printer is compatible you can request that your printer model will be officially added to the list by going to the bottom of the list and choosing one of the "Any generic printers" doing the registration process. If you choose this type of printer you will get to fill out a form with all the details on your printer, then a SimplyPrint team member will validate the info and officially add the printer to the list. You'll receive an email when the model has been added and you can go ahead and choose the correct model for your own printer. If you don't know how to do that you can find a guide right here.
