White-labeling logos & icons requirements

In this article, we'll go over the logo requirements for the white-labeled version of SimplyPrint, and what we need to get you set up.

We ask that all files are delivered with the right naming format, as specified in the specifications for each logo type - that way, we know which is which!

Logos

"Favicon"

A favicon, also known as a shortcut icon, website icon, tab icon, URL icon, or bookmark icon.

File extension: .ico, .png, .svg
Size for .ico & .png: 16x16px, 32x32px, 48x48px or 64x64px (one of these sizes)
File name: favicon.[file extension] (example: favicon.ico)

Note: the favicon design should take the different browser looks into account; dark- & light mode, themes & skins. Make sure to pick an icon that works for all of these, and maybe round it, adding a light or dark background color behind the logo, to ensure its visibility.

"PWA Icons"

Progressive Web App (PWA) icons are used for adding the application to a home screen on mobile devices, and they should be clear and recognizable at small sizes.
Should have a transparent background.

File extension: .png or .svg
Size for .png: 192x192px and 512x512px
File name: logo-192x192.[file extension], logo-512x512.[file extension] (example: logo-192x192.svg)

"Website Logo"

This logo is used on the website, particularly in the header or sidebar. There should be two versions: a square one for when the sidebar is collapsed and a wide one for when the sidebar is expanded.

Should have a transparent background.

File extension: .png or .svg
Size for .png: 150x150px
File name: logo-square.[file extension] (example: logo-square.png)
Optional dark-mode specific logo: same criteria, name it logo-square-dark.[file extension] (example: logo-square-dark.svg)

Should have a transparent background.

File extension: .png or .svg
Max size shown: 64px height, `227px width
File name: logo-wide.[file extension] (example: logo-wide.png)
Optional dark-mode specific logo: same criteria, name it logo-wide-dark.[file extension] (example: logo-wide.png)

Note: If using SVG format for any of the logos, the exact dimensions are less critical as SVGs are scalable without loss of quality. Ensure, however, that the aspect ratio matches the specified sizes for consistent appearance across different platforms.
